More than one person using the same Apple ID is almost always a bad idea. Among other things it can result in unwanted syncing of data (including deletions) between the devices.
The idea behind Family Sharing is that you each use your own Apple ID but can still share selected things if you want to. See the following for more information about Family Sharing: Family Sharing - Apple Support
