Identifying Who Initiated the Group FaceTime Call

How can I distinguish between the person who initiated the call and other group call members? I’m getting a ton of Group FaceTime calls and no one is claiming that it’s them.

Hello BruWinn,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help identifying the initiator of a group FaceTime call. This would depend on how the call was originated. You may be able to see the initiator from the notification you receive to join the group FaceTime call, as shown below: Use Group FaceTime on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

"Join a Group FaceTime call

There are a few ways to join a Group FaceTime call that someone else started:

  • Tap the notification from the Notification Centre or the Lock screen, then tap
  • To join a Group FaceTime call from Messages, tap the notification at the top of your screen or tap Join from the group conversation in Messages. After you tap Join, you're connected automatically.
  • To join a call from the FaceTime app, just go to the active call in FaceTime, then tap

We hope this helps you.
