What does it mean it says “calls with a checkmark have been verified by the carrier”

do I have to go to the company to get it fix ?

Does calls with a checkmark are verified with the carrier happen with every carrier? Why does Verizon do this? Does Verizon always do this? I am using an iPhone and I noticed some thing I don’t quite understand. So I’ll see if I can get any advice from the community. this question I have is about a message I have with my iPhone incoming calls only, that days “calls with a checkmark are verified with the carrier.” I figured out this is a Verizon thing . My carrier is not Verizon. This contact that this message shows on, does have Verizon as a carrier. But does Verizon only do this? Does Verizon always do this? When do they do this? And why do they do this? What does it mean to me?

Call and ask your carrier.

I suspect they are offering some kind of call filtering, trying to reduce fraudulent or robo calls.
