How do I adjust the resolution of the screen recording on an iPad pro?

I am trying to make the resolution of videos that I make via screen record on an iPad pro. The default seems to me (I am not entirely sure) 1920x1440. I am supposed to use a 1920x1080 (16:9) resolution for my work. How do I ensure that this is the default setting?

iPhone 7+ Native IOS screen recorder is much better than iPhone 12 Pro Max I own a 5year old iPhone 7+, it has a native resolution of 1920x1080 and if I record my screen using the native IOS screen recorder, the video resolution is 1920x1080. If I edit the recorded video using iMovie, I can save it as 1080p Now, I own the latest iPhone 12 Pro Max with native resolution of 1284x2778 and if I record my screen using the native IOS screen recorder, the video resolution is only 1920x888. If I edit the recorded video using iMovie, I can only save it as “720P”! I believe that the native video screen recorder of IOS has a maximum of 1920x1080 video resolution and it automatically downscale if it goes beyond that and it’s also preserving the aspect ratio of the screen meaning that the iPhone 12 Pro Max if downscaled to FHD can only have a maximum resolution of 1920x888 My question is, why Apple let this happen? Why the 5 year old phone has better result using the iMovie than the newer and most powerful iPhone? Can Apple update the iMovie app to still let the iPhone 12 Pro Max save 1080p FHD even if the recorded video resolution is only 1920x888? This ia really frustrating when you expect the newer Phone should be better than the old one

iPhone 11 iOS 14 can you screen record with 1080p resolution? Hello! I wanted to screen record at 1080p with my iPhone and upload it on YouTube. I found that I need to change this under the settings > camera > record video and change this to 1080p. However, this option doesn’t seem to affect screen recordings, as I checked the resolution and it was only 828x1792. So when I upload it on YouTube, the resolution available was only until 720p. Is there anyway for me to screen record with 1080p quality? Thanks in advance!

1920x1080 is essentially the same as 1080p. (Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080p)

Settings > Camera > Record Video should be 1080p.

Thanks, sberman. The "record video" setting is (and was) set to the 1080p at 30 fps but our video person at work is saying the resultant MP4 from the screen record feature is not 1080p, oddly. I wondered if screen record had its own default setting or something.
