I bought additional storage and my phone still says I have no additional storage

i bought additional storage yesterday and my phone still shows no storage. I have restarted it and signed out of iCloud numerous times.

There is a misunderstanding here.

iCloud storage is for backups and syncing, it does not increase what you have on your iPhone.

To make space on your Phone, you need to delete stuff you don't need or save stuff onto your computer before you delete.
