Turn off the talking as I type

How do I turn off the repeat of words and letters I type? It’s not private, everyone can hear everything I text and there isn’t a way I can find to turn off the fact that siri repeats every word I say

Set up Typing Feedback

On your device, go to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Typing Feedback. From here, you can turn on the following: Character feedback: Turn on Characters to have your device speak letters as you type.
