Keynote invalid format

There was a faulty transfer of my keynote thesis presentation that was saved in my iCloud to my hard drive. And then I emptied my trash so I don’t have it on my desktop anymore. And now it’s only 203 bytes (originally in the high MB). When I try to open it, it says invalid file format. Am I able to retrieve it? Please help.

Opening Keynote Files from iCloud Encountered an Error I'm unable to access any of my Keynote files stored on iCloud. Every time I try to double-click a Keynote file from the Finder, nothing happens. Lost Keynote File Hi, I accidentally saved a new Keynote file name under a different Keynote file that's really important & it replaced it. When I go to Edit - Restore it doesn't pull up my original file. Does anyone know another way to get around this so I can retrieve this Keynote? Thanks, Johnny

The answer is Yes, if you copied your file from iCloud or have a backup, then just copy it to your Mac

The answer is No, if you did not copy it or don't have a backup
