AirPods Pro tap function

Hi i am facing problem related to tap function of airpods pro

so the single tap is not working

the double tap pauses the music

the triple tap plays back

When I double tap my airpods (2nd generation) nothing happens I am double tapping my 2nd gen airpods but it does nothing - trying to skip to next song.
