I've been trying for months now to update to ios 13.6 and it keeps getting stuck on "estimating time remaining". When i try to update it, it gets stuck on this every time! I use a mobile hotspot on another iphone when I try to update, so i'm wondering is this the cause of it ? Please someone help as this has been going on for months now!

Shauna, it is not letting you update because it is stuck on "estimated time remaining". It is not going to move from there unless you connect to a WiFi Network AND your iPhone is plugged into electrical power or charged more than 50%. So, please connect to a WiFi Network, when you can, and complete the update. Thanks.

You will need to use a WiFi signal.
You will need to charge the battery to at least 50%, then leave it attached to the charge circuit while attempting the update.
You did it! You already knew the answer to your question! Your iPhone must be connected to a WiFi Network and must be charged more than 50% battery level to continue successfully with the update.

You may be mistaken (However I am not doubting you) because in my experience, update through a hotspot from another Apple Device has never worked. In your experience, could have used a conventional non-apple device hotspot via WiFi?

I have read online and some also said that it is not possible to update through a hotspot, but I definitely have done it through a hotspot from an iphone before as my brother has an iphone and I used his hotspot to update it, I also updated last time using a hotspot. could it be possible this has changed and does not work this way anymore ?
I have just tried there and it is letting me update but is stuck on "estimating time remaining", same as the last time it got stuck on this. I'm not sure what else to do as it's not updating, only stuck on this.
I had a feeling it may be that but it's strange because when i've updated my phone in the past i've used a mobile hotspot and it has worked!! So i'm not sure why it worked then and it isn't now ?
