I want to connect a Dell dock with a thunderbolt 3 connector to an 27" Apple Monitor with a thunderbolt 2 connector.
I have the physical connector from Apple but it does not work. Are there drivers required?
I also have a thunderbolt 2 connector to display port adapter but that does not work at all.

What is the Dell dock's model number? Is its connector really Thunderbolt 3 (Lightning Bolt icon), or just USB-C?
If it's a Thunderbolt display (Lightning Bolt icon on the plug), no USB cable, it will not work with Mini DisplayPort, even though the plugs fit.
