Hey, Bcase5!

We've got your back. It sounds like you see a dotted-line cloud icon next to specific songs in your playlist on your Mac. This icon next to the songs can be explained here: Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC under section, "A dotted-line cloud."

In case it wasn't uploaded properly from another device, try to Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music where they were originally synced.

If you continue to have issues loading those songs in iTunes, we'd suggest checking for any software updates. Make sure you back up anything important prior to updating your Mac, then follow these steps: How to update the software on your Mac

How did you add these songs to your iTunes library? Did you purchase them from the iTunes Store or a third-party source? As this information will help to support you.

Wishing you the best!
