How to turn off unwanted podcasts over bluetooth from iPhone in my car.

I've updated to iOS 13.6 and since then when I get into my car to play music, an annoying and unwanted podcast and commercial plays without my intervention. I've not installed the podcast app on my phone and can find nowhere to turn this off. Please tell me how to disable this annoyance. Lately the programming has been from Oprah ... and if there is one thing I don't need in life, it's advice from Oprah. Thanks!

chris_g1: Thanks for your reply, but it seems your response does not apply. I've been using Bluetooth autoplay for years with my phone in my car ... and indeed it does automatically play music. But since the last iOS update, podcast commercials have been playing first. I've not asked for this, and I've not installed podcasts ... but thanks for the effort of a reply ...

Hey there rhdinah,

It sounds like you have a question regarding autoplay when your iPhone connects to your car's Bluetooth, and we'd like to share some additional information.

When an iOS device is connecting to a Bluetooth or USB accessory, Music may begin to autoplay. This is expected behavior. Many stereo manufacturers send a playback command from the stereo to the media device upon connection.

We hope this helps!
