when I delete an Email on my Iphone, why does it still remain on my Ipad?

Emails are setup on each device separately and individually. Once set up then the synchronization among devices depends on the type of email service that you are using. If you are using IMAP or Exchange services then the emails should synch across devices. Note that this is controlled by the email service provider. If your email service uses a POP based email service then the emails will not synchronize between devices.
