Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

My grandma has an iPad and had an Apple ID which was also her email and she forgot her password. We restored the iPad and we’re stuck on the setup screen with iCloud. We have proof that we bought the iPad.

Any way how to get this fixed?

Her Apple ID password?


Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.


Apple ID - Manage            


Apple ID – Forgot Password            


If she is the original owner, have her contact Apple. Apple can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
