Closeup with built in IMac camera?

The camera in the iMac is a fixed focus lens camera. It cannot do zoom or macro.

Some third-party cameras permit zoom features when driven from MS Windows with the vendor's supporting software (e.g. Logitech), but you will have to check a vendor's product details closely to determine if they support any zoom or macro functionality when used on the Mac.

This is about as close as you can get, about 8-9"...
