My Apple Watch unpairs/resets by its self

Hello,

My apple watch unpairs/resets every time I take it off or when I take it out of the charger. This behavior began when it was pair to my old iPhone 6. There was a message telling me that I had to update de IOS but to do so, I had to upgrade my iPhone too. So I did it. Now I have an iPhone 11 but the problem persisted. I had hard restart an erase de iWatch, I had hard reset the iPhone, erase de watch app, with the same result, I suppose there is a problem with de image restored to the phone but I can not lose my information. Any ideas?

Hi agandarillas,

Thanks for replying. We see you believe the issue is related to the backup you restored onto your new iPhone.

We suggest you sync important information to iCloud, then erase your device and then set up the device as new, without restoring from a backup.

You can use iCloud to save your photos and messages:

Set up and use iCloud Photos

Keep all your messages in iCloud

Turn on anything else you need in Settings > tap [your name] > iCloud, then erase your iPhone.

How to erase your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

After erase, set up your iPhone as new:

Set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Remember, step 5, select "Don't Transfer Apps & Data"

You will need to re-download your apps again, and change any settings you customized previously.

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books

Let us know what you find out!

Take care!

Hi agandarillas,

Thanks for your post! We understand that your Apple Watch will erase itself when you take the device off or remove the device from the charger. We see the troubleshooting steps you have already performed. When you pair your Apple Watch to your iPhone, are you setting up the watch as new or restoring from an iCloud backup? If restoring from a backup, try setting up the watch as new.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Set up your Apple Watch

Remember at Step 4, select Set Up Apple Watch.
