Hey there, Icantusemyname!

It appears you receive a 'SIM Not Valid' error on your secondhand iPhone. We'll provide some clarity on this error and how to resolve it.

This addresses that error specifically: If you see 'invalid SIM' or 'no SIM' on your iPhone or iPad

Since it was purchased previously used, we'd suggest contacting the seller to see which wireless carrier they used. If the iPhone is locked to that carrier, you could get a compatible SIM card through that carrier or request them to unlock it: How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier

If you can't verify the wireless carrier that has the activation, Contact Apple Support for further help.
