macOS Catalina asks for password for Guest User

When I try to login using Guest User, it asks for a password. This didn't happen previously. I've tried leaving the password blank and hitting return, but it still wants a password.

I logged in to my own account to check Users & Groups in System Preferences and everything looks fine. I even noticed it states here 'Logging into the guest account does not require a password'.

Using current version of Catalina - 10.15.6.

Go into System Preferences, Users and Groups.

Unlock the padlock

Highlight the Guest account

Uncheck the "Allow guests to log into...." box

Close the padlock

Log out of your account

Check that the Guest account has gone.

Log back into your account and reverse the procedure, giving access back to the guest.

This just fixed it for me.
