Mirroring from my iPad to the MacBook Pro

- It was working fine but now when I try to mirror from iPad so that I can annotate website and project this via MacBook- no options for airplay in iPad are coming up. The only one that was was a screenshare app that I used on my tv through firestick. I've since deleted that app and unplugged the firestick.

Now when I try to mirror the ipad to macbook it doesn't pick up the airplay. How do I fix this? I restarted the iPad and MacBook, I restarted the router, I turned off my cell. I can mirror from Macbook to iPad no problem. The other way around is impossible.

I believe mirroring via sidecar only works MacBook to Ipad, not iPad to macbook
