Can IHeart Radio be used on an Ipad ist gen?

Having trouble loading IHeart Radio on 1st gen IPad. Is it possible or do I need to get an newer IPad?

It requires iOS 12 now so it will not work on the first generation iPad. You need to purchase a newer device.
