Hard reset on unresponsive iPhone X

I know there's a way to do a hard reset on iPhone x, but I forgot how to do it, I had apple support teach me, something about holding volume up and down and then power, anyone know what it is or how long I need to hold buttons for?

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button
  • Press and quickly release the volume down button
  • Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears
