insurance claim

Hi there. I woke up one morning to find my iPad on the floor and it hasn't worked since. I tried to make an accidental damage claim with my insurance company but they have refused on the grounds that I didn't see the iPad fall (while asleep) and therefore it could just be wear and tear. They advised that I could get some sort of report from Apple on the nature of the damage that might support my claim. Can anyone advise on how to do that?

Thanks in advance
