MacBook location services

I am trying to switch my find my friends device location from an iphone to my mac. I am singed in on icloud and the find my feature is on for my mac, yet FindMyFriends does not register any other devices to share my location from. How can i fix this?

iPhone 11, iOS 13

You have to set the location setting device from that device and Find My. You must set it from that device. It appears that you want to switch your location setter from your iPhone to your Mac.
Finally you cannot set and broadcast your location from your Mac. It has to be from an iOS device.
