iPad shuts down when not plugged in

My iPad says 100% charged when plugged into power but when I unplug it shuts down virtually straight away and changes to not battery power at all.


i have tried a hard shutdown.


can anyone help me please?

On the basis of your description, your iPad battery is exhibiting symptoms of battery failure.


Charge and monitor the iPad battery - Apple Support


You would be advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support - and request a remote battery diagnostic. If you battery is defective, they will also provide appropriate advice.
