Does anyone know an app that will successfully block all those spamming telemarketer calls?

What I mean is calls from those hideous companies who think it is OK to just buy up UK numbers then spam us to distraction.

Or do I spot a conspiracy? Must be lots of money to make selling these numbers to dodgy old rubbish businesses who can't make a straight buck...
