Problems with screen Macbook Pro 2017

Hi,

I have a problem with my Macbook Pro 2017. After a long work, when the laptop is getting really hot (I use it for graphic design) white and colorful horizontal stripes are showing at the top and bottom of my screen. I guess coolers are not effective enough and the heat is destroying my screen. Does anyone has the same problem? Is the only solution to switch the screen for new one? Is apple offering any support in this case or I have to pay half of the prices of my mac for exchanging the screen?

Thx for answer.

Hi ziebatst,

We understand that your MacBook Pro is displaying horizontal lines when the computer starts to get hot. The good news is that you're in the right place for help.

To clarify, does this behavior only happen when you're using system intensive applications like those used for graphic design? If so, the resource we've included here has some additional steps to ensure your MacBook Pro stays within acceptable operating temperatures.

Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures

In addition, are you using an external displays, or only the built-in display on the MacBook Pro?

Any additional details you can provide will help us find a resolution.

Best regards.

Hi, thank you for your answer :)

The horizontal lines show up when the macbook is getting really hot (which lately happens really quick due to tropical weather in Poland haha and it usually happens when I use apps for graphic design, but also when I open 5+ tabs in safari or chrome). I sometimes use external displays, but not always. Either way the lines shows up.

Best regards.

Hi there!

You're very welcome. We also appreciate you following back up with us. Since the lines seems to be related to the heat, it's recommended to follow the guidance for keeping the Mac within the acceptable operating temperatures. If the lines continue to appear when the Mac is cool, please be sure to let us know.

Take care.
