ipad emails disappeared from In box.

Last Saturday, Aug. 1 I was reading emails on my iPad Air when suddenly all emails disappeared from my All Inbox. The only emails that show up now are ones received after that event. If I look at the Inbox for individual email accounts, they are still there but don't show up in the All INBOXES panel. How do I fix this?

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.

I have 9 individual email accounts (don't ask!) and the problem occurred to all of them simultaneously. It's not that the mail doesn't exist in the individual account In boxes - I can find it there, it's that they don't appear in All Inboxes. Only since Saturday - everything disappeared as I watched from All Inboxes. The only emails now in All Inboxes are those that came in since Saturday. Seems likely that the problem is occurring "downstream" of the individual account In Boxes, but what?
