Each time I plug in typeC battery charger to my macbook air it shows on and off without charging the laptop.
I have inspected cable and reset/restore the charger and still flashs on the battery icon.
What could be the problem?

If they don't help, you'd better contact Apple support or if neighborhood retail Apple Store is open, make Genius Bar reservation or find nearby opened Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined both MacBook Air and power charger.

Bad charger or motherboard problem or cable problem. Try another charger and cable.
