Accessing Apple accent shortcuts on bluetooth keyboard
In Mac OS, iOS, and iPad OS you can access accents --é--ç--š-- as well as --æ--œ-- and so on by holding down the letter key (eg e) and waiting for a menu to pop up offering è é ê ë ē ė ę and letting you use whichever e yo want. For s you have the options of ß ś š. This is superb--congratulations apple--and works with on-screen keyboards for iPhones and iPads as well as Apple external keyboards for MacOS.
BUT
Add a bluetooth keyboard for an iPad (for instance) and the much famed (and not cheap) Logitech keyboard for an iPad Air becomes a cripple. It is a useless pile of junk if what you want is that great Apple convenient options.
SO
Do the Apple keyboards, or any other bluetooth keyboards, for iOS or iPad OS allow the use of accents using the Apple system described. I'm NOT interested in remembering key combinations or sticking a reminder list on my screen. I want the proper great! Apple system.
So do any keyboard manufacturers know how to get it right?
