If I buy a Apple Watch and I already have Apple care plus for my phone do I have to buy a new Apple care package ?

The Apple Care+ that you purchased for your iPhone will not cover an Apple Watch. If you want to get coverage for a new watch, you will have to purchase an additional Apple Care+ package for the watch. This will not affect the Apple Care for your iPhone as they are two separate devices and therefore the coverage would be separate as well.
