Does the Sim card have to be transferred from the old device?
Does the Sim card have to be transferred from my old phone to my new phone or do we still the new phone have its own Sim card?

Don't know what process you did to purchase your new phone, but if it doesn't come with one and it fits on the new one, then you move it over.
