Moving Photos & Deleting Originals

Very basic question alert - I want to move photos to various folders but want to clear the originals. Deleting the original deletes it from the folder. Hiding hides from both. I only want one cooy in the relevant album, please help thanks

Is this in the Photos window?


Photos works on a Library principle: Everything is in the Library. Albums simply contain pointers to that item in the Library. Hence a photo can be in a hundred albums and use no extra disk space. If you delete what you're calling the Original then you delete the photograph. That's just how it works.
