Trying to factory reset Apple Watch and it won’t work

I can’t remember my Apple Watch password and it’s no longer hooked up to my cellphone. I clicked on erase all content in the lock screen but the white circles just keep spinning or it will end up back on the locked home screen. How can i actually reset this thing?
