Hello! My husband bought me an iPad and set it up using his own AppleID. I used it for a while but now I would like the iPad to have my AppleID without losing my data and apps which were downloaded under his ID. Is that possible ? I tried following the Change ID instructions on Apple Support website but the option is blocked since the email address is @icloud.com. Thanks for your help!!

To use your Apple ID, you must first turn off Find My Phone. Then sign out of your husbands Apple ID. You may then log in again but using your Apple ID and password. See How to switch Apple IDs on your iPhone or iPad.

Keep in mind that some things available under a first Apple ID will not be available under a new Apple ID. For example, you won’t be able to transfer anything purchased from the App and iTunes Stores to the new ID. And, there are other issues to be addressed.
