Trackpad and mouse

I like to use a trackpad and my spouse wants to use a mouse with our iMac. Can I connect both a trackpad and a mouse and use them interchangeably with my iMac?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Yes. There's even an option to choose both a mouse and trackpad when you order an iMac.
