can i watch the nfl hockey on my samsung tv apple tv . i have a nhl supcription.

If you have the Apple TV set-top box (4th generation or later), then yes.
If you have the Apple TV app natively on your smart TV, then no. The Apple TV app is not a full replacement for the Apple TV set-top box.
If your TV is AirPlay-enabled, then you may be able to stream from your iPhone, if NFL supports that feature.
