I can’t log into my lap top keeps telling me it not right but I know my Apple ID and password for my phone can u help me unlock my laptop?

Trying to log in to my laptop but I forgot my password I did forgot my password but it keeps saying it’s wrong but I can use my Apple ID on my phone how can I unlock my laptop ?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

If you Mac is locked --> Change or reset the password of a macOS user account ...

Click->If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support
