Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference to kick off June 10 at 10 a.m. PDT with Keynote address

The Keynote will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

What the heck is this gray button?!

This gray arrow button appears when I select a paragraph in macOS, and then the box shown here appears when I click the button. I know it's a 'feature' but I want to turn it off, it's always interfering with my work, but I don't know where it originates. Can someone please help me?

Thanks

Hello AldenP,

It sounds like you are saying whenever you highlight a paragraph you see a grey button with more options. Please provide more information about the issue to better help.

What app are you using?

What macOS version are you using?

When did this begin?

The options appear to be involving the continuity features. Check out this link to learn more about continuity.

Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch

Cheers!
