If you mean connect to iTunes on a computer. Then, you use a lightening-to-USB cable, and connect your iPhoneXR to the computer and launch iTunes on the computer. Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

Before you do a factory reset, maybe you want to check these settings and correct the b&w color scheme on your phone.
Go to Settings>Accessibility>Display & Text Size
Turn off Smart Invert, Classic Invert, Color Filters
