Touch Bar not working at all and freezing up

It sounds like your Touch Bar is not responding at all. There are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue.


  • Restart the Mac.

Log out, sleep, restart, or shut down your Mac

  • SMC reset.

How to reset the SMC of your Mac

  • Test in safe mode.

How to use safe mode on your Mac

  • Test in another user.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
