Unsync photos from my iphone to my macbook

Hi:

I am giving my daughter my macbook so she can work on it during this virtual school year. The thing is that it is full of pictures and I cant stop it from sync from my iphone to the computer, so eventhough I take all the pictures out, they will sync again! Can I just forget the device on the icloud settings?

You can turn off photo syncing in Apple ID (iCloud) settings, yes. But probably better to create a new user account on the Mac for your daughter and have her use that.

Create a Time Machine Backup:

Did you Create a Time Machine Backup prior to handing this over to your daughter? I strongly recommend doing so, for securing your device, and then restoring it to the backup when you get it back.

How to:

You would start by creating a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with this Mac. Use an External Hard Drive at least 1.5 Times the Hard Drive storage. Go Here: Back up your Mac with Time Machine - Apple Support.

If you don’t Create One:

If you end up not making one, and then the Mac crashes, then you’d have to take this as a learning experience, and know to always create a backup.
