Hey there, i filmed my footage at 25fps but in Final cut it is displaying it at 23.98fps.
I use a Canon which does not have a lower option than 25fps, what am I missing here?
Also just to confirm if I filmed at 25fps I should edit at 25fps right?

I had a similar problem a couple of days ago.
It only took a few seconds to discover that the project had accidentally been set to 23.98fps.
If this is the case, create a new project ensuring it is 25fps and drop in your clips.
Yes, you should edit at 25fps and don't forget to check whether it's interlaced or progressive.

Exactly which camera This is? Would it be possible to upload an original piece of the media to Dropbox or WeTransfer?
Hi Tom, thanks for responding turns out my camera does film at 24fps... so all is well and FCP is displaying the correct frame rate 😊

If your camera shoots at 24p you need the project settings to be 24p and not 23.98p
