Screen Mirroring between iPhone and iPads

hello all ...

I really need HELP with this one! So, please anyone out there with help would highly appreciated ...!

I have been teaching music ONLINE since March, and have used the screen mirroring feature between my Apple devices - all of them - iPAD Pro, iPad 7, iPhone XS and a MacBook (older 2008). All of the sudden, for no reason that I can detect, I can’t screen mirror anymore. I have, re-started, upgraded, have made sure that I’m in the same WiFi, I have rebooted the WiFi ... and nothing, nothing happens! I’m hoping for an answer from the community before trying to call Apple support - these days help is not easily available on the phone. Once again, many thanks in advance for even reading this! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Eureka!!! I got it!!! I needed to choose “share” before my iPhone appeared in the list to share!!! it’s all fine now!!

I don't understand how you say you used to be able to mirror your screen between iPhone and iPad? This has NEVER been a feature which is natively supported on iOS devices. NEVER.

There are apps you can get in the App Store, which may offer this ability, but on iOS itself, you could NOT have done this.

TeamView and LetsView are two apps you might want to look at in the App Store.

this is somewhat embarrassing... I confess that I just assumed it was possible to screen mirror between my iPhone and iPad since it was possible to do it between iPhone and MacBook using Zoom while teaching !!

Nevertheless, I haven’t been able to do this either ... so, I’ll try again and perhaps it will be possible again? Many thanks for your responses! It already helped me at least to know that it can’t be done!

Hello,

It has never been possible to wirelessly mirror iPhone and iPad’s display to a Macintosh. You can however use QuickTime on Mac with a USB connection to view your iPhone and iPad’s display on your Mac.

Well ... I made a misleading statement based on something else! But thank you for your understanding. I’ll reach out again after I try screen mirroring the iPhone from my Mac ! Hopefully this will work again.

So, here’s a picture of my Mac screen in the Zoom application. I have used this method before to share my iPhone screen with students. It has worked fine until recently!! I’m desperately looking to HOW to fix this issue!
