Mac mini dropping 10Gb Ethernet connection

Hi all,

My Mac mini (2018) running v10.15.6 is connected with CAT6 cable to a Ubiquity EdgeSwitch 16XS 10Gb switch running v1.9.1Lite. After some time, varies from 2 - 60 mins, the 10Gb connection is lost. After unplugging the ethernet cable from the Mac mini and inserting it again, it will work fro a while resulting in losing the connection again.

I have tried manual/fixed setting and auto setting on both devices in all possible combinations; all possibilities without any improvement: connection is lost after a while.

Any suggestions how to solve this?

Regards,

Bart

I feel embarrassed now: this solved the issue. A cable! 😄

Checked every software option, upgraded every firmware available, rebooted 1000 times until I replaced the cable!

Sometimes life is simple.

Many thanks hcsitas!
