IOT devices can't be setup, out of the box, using iOS 13.6, 13.5 works perfectly, when required to directly connect to IOT device wifi.

It seems that wemo dimmers can't be set up on iOS 13.6, but they can be setup fine with iOS 13.5. I also found the same thing with my LG wifi washer/dryer. Looks like maybe iOS 13.6 has some security around connecting directly to IOT devices to perform initial config. I also tried iOS 14 beta but no luck there either (someone else here did have luck with that version).

I noticed that when you connect to an IOT device that iOS settings show you connected, but the wifi icon does not show up at the top of the screen in the status bar. Is there any way apple can fix this?

I was lucky to have an old device that I hadn't installed iOS 13.6 on, otherwise I just wouldn't be able to set up my new dimmer or washer/dryer????

This is more an iOS discussion, but I couldn't find general iOS, so put it for iPhone....

Connecting to Hue Bridge for Homekit This problem is a cross-platform issue, I've found that the guru's on here tend to provide the best support. I'm trying to connect a Philips Hue bridge to my Homekit. Every time I type in the code on the back of the device, it errors and says, "unable to add accessory, the setup code is incorrect.". It doesn't matter if its on my iPad Air II or iPhone 12 Pro Max. I am totally up-to-date on iOS software. I have an Orbi network and have factory reset it as new. Now, it seems that the problem is that my iPhone and iPad are connecting to the network as a 5ghz devices. But the Bridge is on the 2.4ghz and so they aren't communicating. However, I can't turn off the 5ghz network in the network settings on the Orbi web portal for the router. Is there a work around for this? I'm not 100% sure this is my problem. Maybe something else is going on? This is the first time I've set up a Philips product and my first foray into a smart home. I thought by going the Homekit route it would be easiest since I'm already in the Apple ecosystem, but this has proven to be very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated!
