Problem with burning CD

I have burned a Playlist from my iTunes (desktop) computer. These are songs I purchased from iTunes, and the songs/artists are on the Playlist, but not importing then info to the burned CD. I burned the list to a CD-R. What do I need to do to add the the songs/artists info. TIA

Windows, Windows 10

Hello Nanalexie,

We understand you are wanting to see the name of the songs and artists on a cd that you burned from an iTunes playlist. We will do our best to guide you in getting those details added.

Are you not seeing the titles when playing back in iTunes, or a standard cd player?

This resource has some great information about how those song titles work: If you don’t see songs in iTunes on PC

If you are using a standard cd player, make sure it has the capability to read that information based upon Gracenote's specifications: Music Recognition for CDs and Digital Files

Have a great day.

Nanalexie,

Thanks for those details.

This makes sense that the complete album works, because Gracenote uses the complete album to determine the name of the songs based upon the track length of each song. When a "compilation" album is made of different songs, Gracenote is unable to detect the song titles.

Your sister's vehicle may be equipped with a media player that is actually pulling the song track titles from the metadata of the burned cd.

Take care.

Thanks Karina184 for your response, and it was helpful. I have a glitch, but can live with it, if I can’t figure it out, but apparently has something to do with the type(s) of media player I’m using. Of the two playlist I’m burning to CDs, one lists the song titles and one doesn’t when I play them on the external drive attached to my HP desktop I used to burn them. I placed the one not showing song titles in my 2017 vehicle and it doesn’t list song titles either. When inserted into my sisters 2019 vehicle it showed the song titles, so go figure. I’m using the same method for both. Purchased all the music from iTunes via my iPad, which is synched with my HP desktop. One of the CDs I’m burning is a complete album, while the other is a compilation of songs from various albums. The one with the compilation of songs is the one with the issue. I was happy to discover I could print a Jewel Case song list from the iTunes menu. Thanks again for your response.
