I just got an 800 number phone call stating my iCloud account has been compromised. I was instructed to press 1 for help. I did not do so. Is this a scam or do I need to speak to someone at Apple?

It’s really bad out there. I just turned 70 years old and I get calls every month from the “IRS" telling me there’s an arrest warrant out on me and I need to pay right now. I get calls from "Social Security" telling me my account has been blocked and I will no longer receive benefits unless I pay something. Here’s the kicker. I get calls from “Microsoft Support” telling me they have detected a virus on my Windows PC and I need to let them access my iMac!!! to fix it. That’s head scratcher for sure.
