Download the current Adobe Acrobat Reader DC that is purposely built by Adobe to work with macOS Catalina. Do not click the Adobe Acrobat Pro trial button.
If you are using any older Adobe Reader 9, 10, 11, etc version, they are not compatible with Catalina.
