Is there a way I could upload all my photos to an iCloud and then factory reset my iPhone without losing them?

A reset of an iPhone does not remove data from iCloud. If you turn on iCloud Photos and insure that the photos have all synced to iCloud (that can take a long time), your photos will sync back to your iPhone when you turn on iCloud Photos on the phone after the reset.
