I guess it won't let me install it. Says the hardware isn't compatible with it. I was trying to help the church out by upgrading their laptops, but this one is too old it appears. They need to use Pages on the laptop and you have to have 10.14 or later installed. Any ideas? Or is this it?
Thanks
If you go open LibreOffice and then create a blank document, then go to the LibreOffice Preferences and Load/Save → General you can set the saving preferences for text docs, spreadsheets and presentations to .docx, .xlsx and .pptx so there is less chance of sending someone a .odt file and getting an, 'I can't open this file' response
Mojave requires a 2012 or newer Mac, or a 2010 desktop Mac Pro upgraded with a Metal-capable graphics card.

Actually the MacBook Pro shows late 2011. I know the requirements say 2012 and later. Was wondering if anyone has been able to install it on an earlier MacBook Pro with success.
They either need a new Mac or use an alternative app such as LibreOffice (free).
Yes, I agree! I like LibreOffice, but they need to share files. Maybe I can get them to use LibreOffice on both computers. We'll see! Thank you!
You're welcome.
